The Full Moon of December 25th shines her light on the accompanying Nine Star Ki profile 3 – 4 – 4.

December 25, 2015 – 12:11pm in Cancer – Long Night’s Moon  – Cleansing: Letting go of the old in order to gain strength to hive the new

The Nine Star Ki profile of today is: 3 – 4 – 4 – It’s characteristics are lively connection with previous generations & family versus a growing quest for our own light.

The Nine Star Ki profile of this Full Moon communicates the energy of the element Wood completely and perfectly. Both the 3 and the 4 are related to the element Wood and this month’s profile shows us nothing else than Wood-energy and the theme’s that come with it: growth, family, family, family, roots, origin, consanguineous, altruism, freedom, liberty, liberty and more liberty. The one doesn’t necessarily unites easily with the other; freedom, growth and the need for liberty on one hand easily collide with family(ties), provenance and blood-relations on the other hand. In fact, there’s a love-hate relationships between these two sides of the Wood-medal.

Wood represents the element most alive in the cycle of the five elements. It is constantly in motion, growing and in search for the light, it finds its way out of the dark privacy of the little seed in the dirt. Via unthinkable possibilities and solutions it drudges itself into the open, cracking through the earth’s surface and by doing so exposing itself in all its nakedness to the light. Leaving behind the safe, unconscious, dark silence of the soil it which it was hidden.

The winter solstice of December 21st is the moment in a year when night is at its longest, when longing for the light is at its strongest and at which the necessary return of this light is commenced. At Christmas we celebrate the symbolic rebirth of the light towards which Wood wants to grow and that is so necessary for us to see ourselves so that personal growth becomes possible. Because the light of the Christ-child is like our

Rebirth

soul that is born into the manger of the ego. It requires a higher understanding to recognize this, or a message by an angel of course. The living light of the Christ-child symbolizes our soul which, as a personal redeemer frees us from the confining darkness of the ego (manger/matter). This growth and renewal, this search for the light is being superly emphasized by the Nine Star Ki profile of this month’s Full Moon. This profile promises the return of power, of light en of progress rooted in the breeding ground of the yin wintertime in which the process of turning within hopefully resulted in fertilizing this ground. A new cycle is being born. And if you allow yourself to trust this cycle to germinate, grow and come into blossom, success will be guaranteed. It is however necessary to determine out of which intention you want to grow and which direction your growth is heading: do you want to become an oak tree, a  thistle or a poppy? Now is the time to correct the growth of this new cycle if necessary; now the seed is starting to germinate which eventually will take on shape and transform into the new trunk which is already very gently is starting to show itself. First to you and next to your ‘family’.

Now there’s a warning in place. Because the down side of the energy of this Nine Star Ki profile is that our roots that are rooted in family traditions and which are limited by the DNA of blood-relationships, tend to push us into old habits and patterns, adjusting ourselves to the needs of family and making us shrink under their critical remarks and questions. If you’re not cautious you’ll repeat what you’ve done before. And although Wood as no other element establishes a living connection with previous generations, it also wants to renew itself; it wants to add -with respect for what has been- a new growth ring to the family tree. This process is very necessary to prevent it to become overruled by habits from the (family)past.

To choose which way you want to grow, to decide the direction you want your life to develop into can be considered as taking responsibility about your personal incarnation and the lessons that come with it. This requires a long-term effort; this is not achieve within one season or within one year. Fortunately 4-Wood is very good in long-term action and is therefore capable of keeping focus on those hopeful new goals that eventually, as fruits of your personal growth, can be put to the collective’s disposal.

This year the focus of the Time-Maps will be on the Nine Star Ki profile of the Full Moon that is active. It will be a moment in time that I’d like to connect to the Five Elements that are so precious to me and which I work with a lot in my Feng Shui work. These Time-Map blogs will be accompanied by blogs that go deeper into explaining the workings of Nine Star Ki, the archetypal qualities of the Five Elements and how they can be used to understand how the energy of the universe and the earth operate in our lives and influence us.

Now this is an experiment and I really like to hear from you how you receive and experience this explanation of the energetic blueprint that is at work at a specific Full Moon of the month. Please don’t hesitate to post your comment! Even if you don’t understand a thing of what I’m writing.. let me know! There’s always room for improvement!

The energy of the year 2015 is dominated by the element 3-Wood, so you’ll see this element return in every profile of all months. It’s the element that resides in the first position during the whole year. Only the numbers in the second and third position will vary.
